Update: It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of my dad Ramon Salamanca, who peacefully passed away on June 7. He will be deeply missed.

On Thursday May 29, my dad Ramon Salamanca had a seizure at his home. He was taken by ambulance to the ER in Hood River where he had more seizures. Later that night he was life flighted to Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center in Portland. He was sedated and put on a breathing tube. He seemed to be doing better and was transferred out of the ICU on Monday June 2. Unfortunately we got the phone call today June 3 that he had to be sedated, put on a breathing tube and is in the ICU again. He is having issues with his lungs and heart. This is highly concerning because he does have diabetes and had a heart attack in 2014. My mom spends most of the day with him. Unfortunately she is not allowed to spend the night at the hospital. She is having to either stay at a hotel or drive back and forth. Expenses are adding up quickly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Those who know my dad know that he has always been the type of person to help those in need even though he doesn’t have much himself.
