Urgent Help for Pugsley: Caputo Family's Plea

My name is Anthony Caputo, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help to save our beloved English bulldog, Pugsley. On the morning of Saturday, May 24, 2025, our world turned upside down when we woke up at 4 a.m. to Pugsley panting heavily and struggling to breathe. Moments later, he collapsed and stopped breathing altogether. In a moment of sheer bravery, my sister performed a Heimlich-like maneuver, bringing him back to life. It was a miracle, but we knew he needed urgent care.

We rushed Pugsley to the emergency veterinarian, where he was diagnosed with the beginning stages of pneumonia. This is our third emergency visit in just two days, as his condition has been critical. The veterinary team is working tirelessly to stabilize him, but the hospital stay, oxygen therapy, medications, and ongoing treatment have come with a staggering bill of $14,000.

Our family is still recovering financially from $15,000 in medical bills for our previous bulldog’s surgery and treatment, and this new expense feels overwhelming. Pugsley is more than a pet—he’s our loyal companion, a source of joy, and a beloved family member who greets us with wiggles and snorts every day. We’re fighting to give him the chance to recover and come home healthy.
