Urgent Help for medical expenses

Hi, I'm Nancy. I'm a 59 year old female managing a small apartment building in Hollywood, Florida. I don't get a paycheck, only discounted rent, which my fiancé and I are now delinquent on and facing possible eviction. The urgent need for funds lies in the fact that Leroy, my fiancé, spent almost the whole month of July in the hospital due to sepsis from an infected gallbladder. He can't have the gallbladder removed until they remove the gallbladder drain. He has clearance to return to work, but his corporate office won't let him return as they see him as an insurance liability since it's on a construction site, so we're in limbo as he can't get unemployment or financial assistance.

No one is going to hire him with a gallbladder drain bag hanging out. Please help if you can. The surgeon wants him to have a cholangiogram which is a special x-ray which they want him to pay $2,274.00 for before he can have surgery. 2 months now we have no income.

He's 66 and should be getting social security, but they raised the retirement age, so he can't even get SS until next year. We have no assets, no relatives to rely on, and no savings. He can't pay to see a doctor when the time comes to get the drain removed or to get surgery. He's basically pre-op for emergency gallbladder removal. We're stuck. I'm partially disabled with no income. We don't know what to do, desperate for help. We can't even buy cat food.

We want to thank everyone so much for their support. We are overwhelmed by all of this. Update: so 12/12/2024 Leroy finally got his gallbladder removed. 12/27/2024 the surgeon was notified that Leroy had gallbladder cancer, metastatic carcinoma. On January 10th he went to see a surgical oncologist and he ordered some tests. Now it's another waiting game.
