My name is Mandy, and I’m asking for help on behalf of my 24-year-old daughter, Nafissa, who is a Type 1 Diabetic and has been extremely ill for the past six weeks. During this time, she has had eight ER visits and five hospital admissions, including her most recent admission on November 26th, where she is still currently inpatient.
Despite being incredibly responsible and working two jobs, she is now on medical leave with no income coming in. Her condition has caused severe nausea and vomiting, making it difficult for her to stay hydrated or keep food down. This has caused significant fluctuations in her blood sugar and a noticeable weight loss. She is currently on a liquid diet while doctors continue working to find answers.
Being out of work has made it very difficult for her to keep up with her regular bills. Even with family helping where we can, the past-due utilities and upcoming rent have become overwhelming for her to manage on her own. Our goal is simply to help her stay stable financially while she focuses on recovering and getting back to work.
Nafissa is a Woodridge High School alumni, a dedicated worker, and a young woman trying her best to stay positive through an unpredictable medical situation. Once doctors identify the cause of her illness, she is determined to return to work and regain her normal routine, but for now she needs a bit of support to stay afloat.
If you are able to help in any way, our family would be deeply grateful. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings her one step closer to staying secure during this difficult time.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support.
