My lovely friend is facing an unimaginable and unexpected need for financial support due to a recent and very serious cancer diagnosis.

Because of her illness, she is currently unable to go to work. She has been forced to walk 25 minutes in sub-freezing weather to get to her appointments because she does not have money for transportation, and there is absolutely no transportation available to her during diagnostic and before treatment because of our broken system.

Because she can't work, she is facing imminent eviction and will then be going through chemo and radiation while living in a Trenton shelter. She's never taken a dime from anyone and works harder than anyone I've ever known!

She doesn't like asking and neither do I, but her story is truly a story of someone who is just trying to survive. Her story is the same story of hundreds of thousands of other people today. F*** cancer.
