Urgent Help for Molly's Overdue Rent and Job Search

Hello, my name is Molly and I really appreciate you taking the time to read my story.

To begin, I’ve been self-employed in the house cleaning business for over 30 years. I’m 63 years old, and at my age, housecleaning has just become too much of a strain on my body. Also, due to the slowness in my business and that I haven’t been able to pick up enough clients for the past 6 months to keep up with my rent payments, I have 6 months (August 2024-Jan. 2025) past due rent ($7,140.00) that I owe to my landlord and I will need $800.00 toward February 2025 rent. I will need to raise $7,940.00. This is why I’ve created this GoFundMe. I don’t know how I’ll ever get caught up without it.

The upside is that my landlord has been extremely kind and beyond patient in allowing me to get caught up. It’s crucial that I get all my past due rent to my landlord. Since I’m getting out of the house cleaning business, I’m currently looking for new employment on a job search with the help from WorkSource, a resource here in the city I live in that helps people with finding employment. I don’t know how long it’s going to take me to transition into a full-time job, but in the meantime, I urgently need to get all my past due rent paid off.
