Friends and family, I’m reaching out with a heavy heart.
My daughter Melissa has been through more than most people could bear. Years ago, her husband left her for another woman — and while she was at work, he took everything she owned, destroyed irreplaceable keepsakes from my granddaughter’s childhood, and left her with over $10,000 of his debt.
The stress broke her heart — literally. She had a heart attack, and depression has wrecked her health. Since then, she’s developed A-Fib, severe knee problems, and even lost much of her hair. Her teeth have been damaged by her health issues, and the pain is constant.
Melissa has worked so hard to keep going. She’s been with Walmart for years, but since June, she’s been too ill to work. She’s now on short-term disability and has some food assistance, but she’s a month behind on rent while waiting for her disability check.
She has just 3 days to raise $1,080 to keep her apartment.
Our family has helped all we can, but it isn’t enough. Once her disability starts, it will cover her rent but not car or insurance or utilities payments, but there will be nothing left for other needs. We are hoping to give her a little breathing room over the next several months so she can focus on her health without the constant fear of losing her home.
If you can help — even $10 or $20 — it would mean the world. And if you can’t donate, please pray for her and share this post.
Thank you for caring about my girl. ❤️
