A Big (costly) learning by losing our beloved Bharat: we would like to share the following to spread the awareness so we can save some lives. Please take a few minutes to go through this.

1. Do your annual checkups on time. It’s free and covered anyways

2. Don’t think you are a doctor by taking only Indian medicines of your choice. Just do your checks up and let the doctors do their job

3. Take any pain seriously. Please contact your PCP doctor without waiting.

4. Last but not the least, do this if you have any heart ailments, family history, over the age of 40 or if you are diabetic.

With a heavy heart, we would like to inform you all that Bharat has passed away this morning, "November 20, 2023". We are working on sending Bharat back to India for performing his last rites. Thanks a lot to everyone who contributed and shared this fund raiser with your friends and families.

First Update: Per our discussion with the doctors this morning, they are going to unplug all support and leave him to pass away naturally as there is no room for recovery. We will definitely miss Bharat. Thanks a lot to all the wonderful hearts who contributed to Bharat’s family. This has been very tough week for all of us especially his wife and I hope our contribution will help his family clear all debts, medical expenses and be able to raise the child who is just 6 years old. My name is Kalyan Sirivella and I am Bharat's uncle. Bharat's friends, relatives and myself are helping to raise funds for Bharat's family.

Bharat is currently fighting for his life in the Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center in Houston, after experiencing a severe cardiac arrest on November 6th, 2023. Despite a quick surgery and the placement of a stent for a major block, he has not regained consciousness and remains in critical condition with only ventilator support. Although his heart is functioning to an extent, Bharat has suffered a severe brain injury based on an MRI, and 80% of his brain is not functioning.

Unfortunately, Bharat's condition has deteriorated in the last couple of days and the doctors hold very little hope to none for his recovery. This has become a life-shattering event for his wife and child, who find themselves lost in this very life changing and challenging situation.

Bharat is just 39 years old. Bharat was born in India and recently moved to Houston, Texas, six months ago. He was working as a Software Engineer, and was widely known to be a calm, composed, well-mannered and wonderful human being. Bharat is a loving husband, a devoted father, and a great friend to many. Bharat's kind and helpful nature has touched many lives around him.

Bharat is the sole support for his wife and 6-year-old daughter, who are both financially and emotionally dependent on him.
