Hello everyone,
Never thought I would have to utilize a platform as such, but here we go. My 39 years young Husband Daniel has been diagnosed with Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease on 06/01/24. After having 3 blood transfusions, dozens of lab work, CT Scans, X-rays, Ultrasounds and round the clock care by the ICU for a week, he was finally able to come home. But before doing so, he had to start dialysis 3 days before being discharged and is now on Peritoneal Dialysis (PD). He is now needing a O- Kidney Transplant and the wait period is currently 12-15 years in California. Daniel has PD every night for 11.5 hours, 7 days a week. The Nephrologists said he’s lucky to be alive. The toxins were so high in his body, they couldn’t believe he was coherent. Before being admitted to the hospital, we were already starting to slide downhill. I’ve been off of work due to my spinal injury and will have to undergo surgery again because the 2 spinal fusion I already had was unsuccessful. We are selling things to try to compensate our monthly bills, mortgage payment, and groceries and it isn’t enough. We really hate to put this out there because we really don’t like to ask for anything. We’re trying to stay afloat, being behind 2 months with shut off notices makes it hard to compute on top. Especially now with the holidays, we’re just praying to keep the lights on, the house warm and food in the cupboards and fridge. Please, if you find it in your hearts to help us, we will be forever grateful . I ask God to please BLESS YOU for taking the time to read our story during this traumatic time for us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart if you’re able to help our family and kids
EDITED:
First and foremost, thank you all that have helped Daniel and I by making donations through this App, Venmo, Check and Cash. We have stretched it out to last until now. Daniel attempted going back to work but it was short lived, only lasting 1.5 weeks. His career was causing uncontrollable circumstances and in turn affecting his health. Due to back fees for insurance via his employer, he didn’t receive a check for the time worked. It was discussed to pay in increments. But since he was pulled off of work, his company took it upon themselves to take his whole check. I (Jennifer) have been dealing with my own medical issues and I’m still being treated by my Dr and deemed unable to work. Per my employers “2 year policy” I no longer receives disability income benefits. If you can please find it in your hearts to share our link or even make a donation, that would mean the world to us. Prayers are always welcome! We thank you all for the time and resources you have to us. We pray our financial burden will no longer be of existence and for a HEALTHY O- KIDNEY
Thank you all and God Bless you
