My name is Michelle Wheadon and I know Matt Mungaven has touched my heart as he's touched all of our hearts, at least once in our lifetime.
Matt was walking home from work last week behind a Target at 10:30 am. He was violently struck by a hit and run, dragging him along as his shoes flung off his body.
Some onlookers were able to see that two girls in an SUV had taken the time to check their car with Matt laying on the concrete and had driven off, leaving Matt with multiple injuries, the inability to work, get himself to urgent care, doctor's appointments, and most importantly, function in everyday life. The mental and physical toll that this would put on anyone is horrific. This won't be an easy battle to heal from, not just physically but mentally exhausting.
Matt is working with the police to retrieve the surveillance cameras behind Target, at this time so far all we've heard is crickets.
I do not know one person on this planet who hasn't needed help, and Matt needs our help. Right now, more than ever.
