Hi everyone,

I am reaching out with faith and hope on behalf of my dear friend Lorie and her husband, Macoi, in Quezon City, Philippines.

What began as a small wound unexpectedly developed into a severe infection that spread rapidly and led to sepsis, affecting multiple organs. Macoi has bravely undergone surgeries, including toe amputations and intensive treatment, and he continues to fight every single day with strength and faith.

During his tests, doctors discovered severe blockages in his blood vessels — from his groin all the way down his leg. Because of this, even strong antibiotics are working slowly, making his recovery much more challenging and requiring continuous medical care and monitoring.

Despite everything, Macoi and Lorie are holding on to faith — and we are standing with them.

“My husband Macoi is still confined and in need of continuous medical care. Our family has already exhausted all means, and this situation has placed us under deep emotional and financial strain. We are knocking on the hearts of kind and generous people — friends, relatives, and anyone willing to help — to please extend any amount you can share. -Lorie”

The hospital bill has already risen beyond ₱300,000 and continues to increase by the day due to medication, labs, specialists, and hospital care.

Unfortunately, according to Lorie:

“Despite all our efforts, the hospital is on hold in accepting a guarantee letter or promissory note, and we are unable to secure discharge due to the remaining unpaid balance of nearly ₱300,000.”

Once the sepsis and infection are stabilized, Macoi will undergo an angiogram procedure at a government-funded hospital to address the severe arterial blockages — a crucial step to save his limb and support his full recovery.

To help them continue this fight — and to give Macoi the chance to heal and come home fully — our humble goal is to raise $10,000CAD.
