Urgent Help Needed: Supporting Victims of the Macedonia Fire in Kocani
Hey everyone,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart. A devastating fire in Macedonia has taken the lives of 59 people and left over 150 injured. This tragedy is beyond heartbreaking—families are searching for their loved ones, hospitals are overwhelmed, and the country simply doesn’t have the resources to handle something this massive.
Macedonia is a small, landlocked country with very limited medical support. Many towns don’t even have hospitals that can handle serious injuries, which means most of the wounded have to be transported hours away to the capital, Skopje. For burn victims, every second counts—but here, time is working against them.
And the worst part? Many of the victims can’t even be identified. Their families are desperately waiting for answers, not knowing if their loved ones survived. Can you imagine that pain?
Doug and I want to do something to help, and we’d love for you to join us. We’re starting this fundraiser, and whatever you donate, we will match—dollar for dollar. Every cent will go toward emergency medical care, transportation for victims, and support for the families left shattered by this tragedy.
