Hello! My name is Lukas. I’m a trans masc queer person living in Pittsburgh. Sadly, I received a 10 day notice to vacate unless I can come up with the funds for rent immediately. When I first moved here, I was making very good money and only paying $950 for my rent- then after I renewed my lease, it was $1300 and has stayed that amount since. Since I’ve moved here, I’ve continually made less and less money. I DoorDash full time and work part time at men’s Wearhouse, and also donate plasma twice a week, but I have been applying for jobs everyday, and as we know the job market is very rough right now. Unfortunately, I’ve exhausted every other option except for crowdfunding to keep my housing this past year. I’m hoping this will be the last month I struggle this hard as my partner is moving in in a few weeks and will be able to help contribute to the household. Our lease is over in November and I’m just trying to make it until then. Any bit helps us and our pets keep a roof over our heads. Thank you so much.
