Urgent Help for Logan and Lucas's Medical and Living Expense

Hi! My name is Logan, and my husband's name is Lucas.

I really don't want to be making this post right now, but things are just really starting to spiral pretty hard and we need to get control of the situation again.

I'm incredibly sick. I have vascular Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and if affects pretty much everything in my body. Lately, I've been dealing with two pretty deadly things at once: I've been having chronic, severe, and uncontrollable infections that frequently go septic and my doctors can't figure out how to cure. I'm also severely malnourished, with an unknown malabsorption issue that my new GI specialist is stumped over. I get tube feeds of 1.8k/cals a ml, 85 MLS an hour, 18 hours a day, I drink meal replacement shakes with 400 calories and 35g of protein in each and I have like 2-3 of those a day, and I eat high protein, high calorie meals. I'm getting around 3000 calories a day and I'm losing weight. My most recent weight is 84.3 lbs and I'm 5'5".

And that malnutrition right there, that's actually partially the reason we have to make this post. All of the high protein high calorie specialty shakes and foods are extremely expensive, and I go through them so fast. The shakes come in a case of 12 for about $50 and that lasts me like 4 days. We are burning through all of our funds trying to feed me, trying to put weight on me while the doctors figure out what's wrong.

On top of that, my husband Lucas recently lost his second job. He gets paid to be my caregiver, but that doesn't even come close to a living page for two people, as I cannot work due to always being in the hospital or barely surviving in bed. He is frantically searching for a new job, but the longer it takes, the deeper the hole we're in gets.

Our mortgage is due by the 15th and we genuinely don't know how we're going to afford it.

This goal would get us by until Lucas secures a new job and gets his paycheck, and would help me afford my food in the meantime as well.

UPDATE: Getting a new job for Lucas has proved a lot harder than we anticipated, due to the fact that he needs a lot of flexibility in order to take care of me. On top of that, due to restrictions in the CDPAP program (how he gets paid to take care of me) he can't get paid while I'm in the hospital. And I've been in the hospital all week. Things are really hard right now and we could really use more help.
