My name is Heather and I’m helping my best friend’s family raise money for her mother. Her name is Lani, she is 52, has 6 kids, got divorced a year ago, and is a single mom. Two weeks ago, she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Invasive Duct Carcinoma. It is a very aggressive breast cancer. She starts chemo in 2 weeks and we need to move her here to Wisconsin from Tennessee so Melissa, her daughter, and family can help take care of her needs and so that she can continue living an amazing life. She does have insurance; however, it covers 80% of costs, and we are responsible for the 20% that’s left. It is a very expensive treatment, and we don’t have time to wait.
