Urgent Help for Laila’s Surgery

My name is Angela, and I’m reaching out for help to save my dog Laila after a sudden accident left her with a broken front leg. Laila has been my loyal companion since I rescued her in Mexico and brought her with me to the US. Living far from home, she’s been my family, my support, and my source of comfort through every adventure and every challenge. She’s helped me heal from deep grief, and her presence has made every day brighter, no matter how tough things have been.

Yesterday, while we were out for a walk, Laila’s playful spirit got the best of her. Trying to chase a squirrel, she collided with a metal pole, breaking her right front leg in two places. The pain and fear in her eyes were heartbreaking. The vet says she needs urgent orthopedic surgery within a week to have the best chance at a full recovery. Right now, she’s on pain medication and immobilized, but that’s only a temporary fix. Without this surgery, her future is uncertain.

Laila is sweet, wild, and endlessly loyal. She loves water, mud, long hikes, rivers, watching birds on the balcony, and making friends at the dog park. After surgery, she’ll need special equipment to help her up and down the stairs to our fourth-floor apartment, weekly bandage changes, medication, follow-up visits, and possibly therapy. I’m doing everything I can, but I can’t do this alone. Your support will give Laila the chance to walk, run, and wag her tail again.
