Urgent Help for Kathy & Her Beloved Bunny Gabby & Cat Tigger

We are a loving worldwide rabbit community helping our beloved friend Kathy Pappas, and her rescued cat Tigger and emotional support bunny Gabby move. The situation at her current apartment has changed in ways that are unfair to Kathy.

Recently a neighbor complained about Kathy having a rabbit. Supposedly due to noise. Since moving to her apartment in Peru there has been a change in management three times. Prior managers have never had a complaint with Kathy. The current manager has now told Kathy she has to be out of her apartment July 1. All because of one little emotional support rabbit. A neighbor making claims of Gabby making a lot of noise during the night. Incredible! On a daily basis, Kathy is being harassed, by said neighbor (exhibiting signs of instability), so we need to help Kathy and her critters to safety ASAP.

Kathy Pappas is a kind animal humanitarian. For years she has adopted cats and rabbits who have received exceptional love and care. Kathy adopted Tigger and Gabby, who were passed over at the shelter due to fear of people. With love, persistence, and patience, they came out of their shell and became deeply bonded with their mom Kathy. They have lived happily at the current apartment for three+. Many of us are familiar with how clean and well maintained Kathy keeps her home.

This move is a hardship for Kathy; Based on the nature of Kathy’s employment working in adult care facilities, her pension is low income and she receives food stamps, Medicare and Medicaid. She can barely pay her monthly expenses and rent.

Kathy’s friends, (which largely consists of the rabbit community world wide) are trying to raise funds to get her moved to a new apartment on July 1. We need enough money for first and last rent, cleaning deposit, and a mover. If most of Kathy’s friends could help donate money towards this move, it would be greatly appreciated. This necessary move is devastating to Kathy and she feels awful asking for financial help.
