Hey guys, my name is Kate and I am here to get help for my sister and my nieces.

On Tuesday, June 3, my sister was attacked by her partner. Her eldest daughter (8 years old) had to go to the neighbor to call 911 because this guy took her phone. He was arrested but released on bail. There is a no-contact order, but my sister and nieces have been left penniless because of his systematic, textbook abuse. She has been isolated and barely allowed to work. At this point, he has left her behind on rent and she does not know how long the power will stay on.

We are contacting resources in the area, but between now and when they can help, my family will need to eat and pay bills. We are asking for help!!! Anything you can give, even $5, will be HUGE and so appreciated. I bought her a new phone so she can call emergency services if needed and reach out to resources, but financially I can't do much more than that. I am asking family, friends, and the community to help get my sister out of this situation.
