My name is Kamara and there was a reduction in force with my last job in April 2025 as a No Surprises Act Negotiation Specialist. I was not able to file an unemployment claim since I had used up my benefit year amount from being RIF'd last year in August with a government contractor company that I was employed with for three years. I have a new job that starts later this month and I am currently facing eviction.

There have been family and friends that have helped me during this time, but I am needing $1400.00 by this upcoming Monday, August 11th. (I have been in my home since 2018 and my landlord is holding off filing the eviction until Monday. If I can pay that amount, they will not file and give me an extra two weeks to pay the remaining balance, which is $3045.00 (that includes the $1400.00).
