Help us help Juan Poot

Early in the morning ICE agents waited for Juan Poot to leave his home, while he was on his way to work they stopped him and detained him. All phone calls going straight to voicemail left his Family, Friends and even employer confused, it was unlike him to be late and not answering.

Juan has lived in the United States for over 30 years, being a devoted father, dedicated churchgoer and an active member of the community! He has been nothing but a kind man and hard worker, his presence will be deeply missed by many. The silence in his absence is loud and greatly devastating.

Friends and Family are trying to find any way possible to help him as quickly as possible. The money raised will go toward hiring a strong lawyer, helping him get released from detention, and supporting his family while he’s unable to work and provide for them. If all else fails, the funds can help cover expenses and ensure a safe return and help to rebuild his life.

This situation is distressing and urgent, his entire community is heartbroken and scared. We reach out for all the help we can get in this very difficult time.

Temprano en la mañana, agentes de ICE esperaron a que Juan Poot saliera de su casa. Mientras iba camino al trabajo, lo detuvieron y se lo llevaron. Todas las llamadas iban directo al buzón de voz, dejando a su familia, amigos e incluso a su empleador confundidos. No era típico de él llegar tarde ni dejar de contestar.

Juan ha vivido en Estados Unidos por más de 30 años. Es un padre dedicado, fiel asistente de la iglesia y miembro activo de su comunidad. Siempre ha sido un hombre amable y trabajador; su presencia será profundamente extrañada por muchos. El silencio de su ausencia se siente fuerte y duele mucho.

Su familia y amigos están buscando cualquier forma posible de ayudarlo lo más pronto que se pueda. El dinero recaudado será para contratar un buen abogado, ayudar a que pueda salir del centro de detención y apoyar a su familia mientras él no puede trabajar ni proveer para ellos.
