Hi everyone. I am a Canadian citizen living in Los Angeles. I am awaiting my green card and unable to work. My husband (dual citizen Canada-USA) lost his job — and our insurance — days before the LA fires via “corporate restructuring”.

The company in question has not replied to our request for severance negotiations. We are out of funds and our insurance has run out. I have complex mental health issues and am disabled: without my medication I’m at high risk for unaliving myself, along with other crises. Unfortunately, some food items must be purchased, and medication will run out.

My hope is to secure funding to get us through this rough patch. I will ensure to update this fundraiser with any developments on employment or change of my status. Thank you for reading, and stay safe wherever you are!
