On behalf of Hermanos de la Calle, we are urgently raising funds to support Javier Osorio and his 9-year-old son, Davier Osorio, migrants originally from Venezuela, who are struggling to survive while trying to improve Davier’s medical condition.
Davier lives with cerebral palsy and psychomotor delay and recently underwent surgery in Chicago to improve his mobility and quality of life. Due to his condition, cold temperatures cause his muscles and tendons to contract, preventing proper recovery. For his son’s health, Javier was forced to make an emergency relocation to Miami, where a warmer climate supports healing.
This sudden move came at a devastating cost. Because of severe financial hardship, Javier had to leave his wife behind in Chicago, where she is currently staying at a friend’s home. Today, Javier and Davier are experiencing homelessness and are receiving shelter through Hermanos de la Calle.
The situation is URGENT. Davier needs daily antiseizure medications, and without consistent access to these medicines, his health and safety are at serious risk.
Javier is doing everything he can to survive and care for his son. He is currently taking any opportunity available, but this is not enough to cover essential medical needs, clothing, and basic living expenses.
Funds raised will be used immediately for:
- Seizure-prevention medications and medical care
- Clothing and essential daily needs
- Transportation and basic living expenses
- Support as Javier works toward employment and stability
Every donation helps, giving Javier and his family a chance to rebuild a dignified future for his family. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is also of great help!
With gratitude,
Hermanos de La Calle
