Help My Family in Jamaica Rebuild After Hurricane Melissa
Story:
I’m Onthonio “Nookie” Whyte and Kim Plotke, we’re reaching out for help for our family in Black River, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, who have lost almost everything after Hurricane Melissa tore through the island.
The storm completely destroyed their homes — roofs were ripped off, water flooded every room, and all of their belongings were ruined. Right now, they are struggling to find safe shelter, and food and clean water are running dangerously low.
My family includes my elderly parents, sister, brother, nephews, uncle, and aunt. They’ve always been strong and hardworking people who help others in the community — but this time, they urgently need help themselves.
We are asking for any support to help them:
• Get emergency food and clean drinking water
• Purchase temporary shelter materials (tarps, plywood, roofing supplies)
• Replace basic household essentials like clothing, bedding, and school items
• Begin repairs and rebuilding their damaged homes
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping them recover and rebuild their lives safely.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this link so others can help too. From the bottom of my heart — thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers during this difficult time.
Thank you for standing with Jamaica.
