Urgent Help Needed After Kitten Rescue Mission

Last night, I was contacted by a woman from an apartment complex where I regularly feed and fix stray cats. She heard desperate cries coming from inside her bathroom wall — a kitten was trapped. When I arrived, the sound was heartbreaking, echoing from somewhere in the ceiling.

After three intense hours and the incredible help of three compassionate Tamarac firefighters, not one but three tiny kittens were rescued — each hidden in different sections of the wall and ceiling.

Sadly, the woman’s bathroom was heavily damaged during the rescue, as you can see from the photos. She rents the apartment, and understandably, repairs must happen immediately. She only agreed to allow the rescue if I took full responsibility for the damages — and I couldn’t walk away from those babies.

Now, I’m reaching out to the community for support. I’ve always done my best to help animals in need, but this unexpected situation is a lot to handle alone. A kind contractor friend has generously offered to do the repairs at a deeply discounted rate, but I still need to raise about $1,200 to cover materials and labor. I need to obtain funds to purchase the needed items for the contractor to begin work. All receipts from the contractor will be posted here.
