Urgent Help for Herman's Medical and Housing Crisis

Hi, my name is Herman Padgett. I have recently moved back from Texas to NC with my son and our dog. I was staying at my uncles house in Black Mountain and had just gotten there in time for Helene to hit. I had a minor stroke and has spent a week in the hospital. Then a tree broke in two and took out the roof of his house. My son got us a hotel from fema in easley sc. I had another spell and passed out and hit my head on the table. Had to go to the hospital here and had major surgery for a subdural hematoma and lost a major part of my skull. Well they sent me back to the hotel and it got infected so they had to operate on me again. That's where I am now as they are givine me anti biotics. I am supposed to get out this friday.

Well fema cut off our room two weeks ago, no reason did they give. We have tried to reapply but no avail. I had gotten a job at glatfelter in asheville before everything went to hell and have been using my short term disability which is only 614 and is running out on march. I have tried to sign up for social sercurity but was turned down, and now have a lawyer helping me with it. She says it might take 6months or more. Right now we have been staying at the quality inn and paying 575 a week. So between the rent and food, we are out of money. DJ is having to stay home and help with me because there is a lot of stuff I can't do. We have found a couple of houses to rent, but don't have the money to pay the deposit. I hate to have to beg for money but right now it's either that or sleep on the street. I would appreciate anything anyone can help with. Then hopefully my disability will kick in.
