Hi everyone, my name is Mumraiz, but many of you know me as the Birdman.

For years I’ve dedicated my life to rescuing animals who were abandoned, neglected, or abused. I run a small sanctuary where I care for over 22 animals — monkeys, parrots, dogs, cats and more. I’ve never turned an animal away, and I’ve never hesitated to spend every penny I have to give them safety, medical care, and love.

Money has never mattered to me when an animal needed help.

But today, for the first time, I’m the one who needs help.

My own baby, Hercules — my little toy poodle and my heart — suddenly became very unwell. It started with a small limp. Then he couldn’t jump on the sofa. Within a short time, he began falling and struggling to walk.

After urgent vet visits and research, we believe Hercules has IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) — a serious spinal condition that affects the discs in the spine and can cause weakness, paralysis, and loss of mobility if not treated quickly.

Watching my baby slowly lose the ability to walk has completely broken me.

Hercules now urgently needs:

• Specialist scans and diagnostic tests

• Emergency veterinary care

• Possible spinal surgery

• Ongoing rehabilitation and medication

The costs are extremely high, and after years of putting every bit of money into saving other animals, I simply don’t have the funds left to save my own.

This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do — asking for help — but I’m terrified of watching Hercules lose his ability to walk and live a normal, happy life.
