Hi, my name is Heather Alexander. I am doing a fundraiser because of a dire situation I am in. I am very close to losing my home and vehicle, with all the rest of my bills going to collections.

I have always believed in being self-sufficient and making my own way in life, but everyone needs help at least once in their lifetime. In 2023, I found out I have a heart condition. I was put on short-term disability through my work. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough money to keep up with my bills, and I had to use my credit card, savings, IRA, and 401K just to make ends meet. After the short-term disability ran out, I was told I had to come back to work, quit, or be fired. I chose to quit because I was unable to go back to work yet due to the physical nature of my job. I was finally able to start back to work in 2024 thanks to physical therapy and medication. I started with a part-time job and worked into a full-time job where I got fired after two months due to illness. I managed to find another full-time job but was fired from that job due to illness. I found out I have a very low immune system and get sick within minutes of being around other people who are sick. I am currently searching for a job I can do at home, but it is taking a while to find.

Due to on-again, off-again work, I have completely used up my credit card, savings, IRA, and 401K. My church and my family have helped me, but they can only do so much. I am currently three months behind on my mortgage. I can't afford to lose my home since it costs me $600 a month. It would cost $1000 to $1500 to rent an apartment. I wouldn't be able to sell my car and get the amount I need to pay the loan off.

I need to get my bills and mortgage gone. Once that happens, my son can help pay my monthly bills and pay his bills as well while I continue to search for an at-home job. Will you consider donating to my fundraiser so I don't lose my home or car and so my other bills don't go to collections while I continue to look for a job I can do?
