Immediate Help Needed for Happy Go Lucky Mastiff Rescue

An update to this campaign:

Here at the rescue, the hits just keep coming. After searching everywhere for a handyman to secure the remaining kennel roofs, we finally found someone who quoted the rescue $1,570 for materials and labor.
It sounded like a blessing, we truly believed we had found a Good Samaritan willing to help a desperate dog rescue. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a costly mistake.
The work that was done was unsafe and unusable. Although we refused to pay the full amount at completion, the rescue still lost $1,000.
We are now back to square one and must raise funds again to properly repair the kennels and keep the dogs safe.
We’ve chosen not to publicly name or shame the individual. Our focus isn’t retaliation, it’s recovery.
Every dollar we raise now goes toward fixing this damage and protecting the dogs who depend on us.
If you’ve ever considered helping the rescue, now is the time. Donations, shares, or even recommendations for trustworthy contractors mean more than you know.
These dogs have already been through enough, and we are determined to keep fighting for them.
We have posted pictures on the rescues Facebook page of the “professional work” that was done on the kennels this afternoon. :(

I am just a dog lover that came across this rescue three years ago when I was searching for an adoptable dog. Missy, the amazing woman that runs this rescue almost completely alone, paired me with my beautiful Cane Corso, Sersha.

Since meeting Missy, I have stayed involved with her rescue and gotten to know her. This woman is a powerhouse. She gives up every luxury and a lot of necessities to put her rescued dogs first, before her own needs. She works a regular, full-time job and takes care of these dogs before and after work, all by herself. Unfortunately, there just isn’t enough income to sustain the rescue on her limited income, and donors have become scarce.

This winter storm has hit their small-town rescue harder than ever before. Kennel roofs have collapsed, their food supply is running dangerously low, and they are facing a crisis they cannot handle alone. Happy Go Lucky Mastiff Rescue receives no grants or government funding; they survive solely on donations and adoption fees. With adoptions down and the cost of food and veterinary care rising, the situation is urgent and heartbreaking.

Time matters. Lives are at stake. Your donation today helps provide critical medical care, warm shelter, and full bowls for dogs who have nowhere else to go. Every single dollar truly helps save a life.

If you’re unable to donate, PLEASE SHARE. One simple click can put this in front of someone who can help financially. Together, we can rescue, heal, and rehome dogs who have been abandoned, neglected, and forgotten, and give them the love, safety, and second chances they so deeply deserve.

Our immediate goal is to raise enough to keep these precious pups fed all winter, restore power to one of their poles (a $3,000 expense), and reinforce their kennel roofs so they can stay safe and warm. Thank you for being their hope when they need it most.

This is not a scam post and every dollar raised will go directly to food, maintenance, and vet bills.
