Help Hala's family survive in Gaza

Hi, everyone, you can call me Cheri. I’m from the U.S., and I created this GoFundMe for my friend in Gaza, Hala.

This is her story:

Hala is a 29 year old Arabic teacher and educational volunteer in Gaza. Despite losing her home and facing unimaginable hardships, she continues to create spaces where children can learn, play, and heal from trauma.

From just five tents, she has built an "educational park", the Al Hadaiq Educational School where children find hope amid devastation.

The Current Crisis

As of August 2025, Hala's situation has become increasingly desperate:

• She lives in an inadequate room with her three children

• Basic necessities like flour have reached astronomical prices ($600 for a 50kg bag)

• Money transfers are subject to 50% commission fees, making aid even more difficult

Hala's resilience is extraordinary. Despite losing her home multiple times, watching her family's farmland bulldozed twice, and enduring displacement after displacement, Hala refuses to give up. She channels her energy towards education and creates innovative teaching methods that combine learning and psychological support for traumatized children.
