Grace recently suffered a traumatic injury to her wrist — a deep 3-inch cut from a large glass flower vase that slipped out of her hands when washing with soapy water. She required immediate medical care and lost a significant amount of blood. While we’re grateful she’s now stable, her recovery will take time. She’s unable to work during this period, and unfortunately, since she was being paid in cash, she doesn’t qualify for unemployment or disability assistance.

Grace is a kind, hardworking young woman who has always done her best to support herself. But right now the laceration will need time to heal and future appointments with specialists.
