Update on G’Ani Bridgewater

The family of G’Ani Bridgewater would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us so far. Your prayers, financial help, kind words, and encouragement have meant the world to us. We are truly grateful.

As many of you know, G’Ani was initially diagnosed with aggressive pneumonia and severe complications. After being airlifted to a hospital in Martinique, doctors conducted further testing and have now diagnosed G’Ani with a rare form of cancer called lymphoblastic lymphoma.

Treatment has already begun, but doctors have advised that G’Ani will be traveling to France for continued care, including chemotherapy and specialized support.

We will keep you updated on his progress, and we ask that you continue to keep G’Ani and his parents in your thoughts and prayers. Your continued support is needed now more than ever.

Aggressive Pneumonia

It is with a heavy heart that I share the devastating news about my grandson, G’Ani Bridgewater, who was born on December 16, 2017. At just 7 years old, G’Ani has been diagnosed with aggressive pneumonia. His condition has rapidly deteriorated, his left lung has collapsed, and for the past three weeks, doctors have been draining fluid from his lungs with little to no improvement.

Due to the severity of his condition the medical team has advised that he urgently needs to be transferred to a facility with specialized care. Because of his fragile state and ongoing oxygen complications, he will need to be airlifted.

G’Ani is a bright, joyful, energetic, and a deeply loving child. Watching him endure this has been heartbreaking for our family. We are doing everything in our power to get him the care he desperately needs.
