We love and miss you, Frida

At 4 am on July 18, 2025 we rushed Frida to the Emergency Vet because she was unwell. Frida had not pooped for 48 hours, showed loss of appetite, vomited multiple times and stumbled on her legs. The Vet checked her vitals, performed an x-ray and drew blood. They told us Frida was stable and could go home after giving her a B-12 shot and fluids. It was most likely a reaction to something she ate. But to monitor her incase she needed hospitalization. 

By the time we arrived home, Frida began getting worse way too fast. She walked into walls, no longer responded to her name, and could barely walk. We took her to the closest Vet, and they told us it was most likely a tumor because she showed signs of brain damage. At that point we were unable to get her any help because the damage was irreversible and ultimately, she only had a couple hours . 

Frida is now resting peacefully in the sky. We are trying to get through this difficult time together because our family is now missing a member.

We did everything we could to save our beautiful Frida. Please help our family be able to keep food on the table while, trying to finish paying the expenses of the emergency treatment and visits. 

I haven’t been able to work recently due to my neuromuscular condition, so it’s been really hard getting through this.

What was a originally a gofundme dedicated to helping fund ongoing treatment is now going to help us recover from the costs associated with trying to save Frida and ultimately give her a comfortable ending to the beautiful life she lived.
