My name is Tyler Updyke. Recently (within a day of writing this) my father-in-law, John, a veteran, passed away in a tragic accident off the coast of Florida. I'm doing this on behalf of his daughter (Krista, my wife) and his wife (Brandie, stepmother of my wife).

John, Brandie, Kitai (dog), and Cici (cat) had been living on their boat off the coast of Florida. Last night they were in their kayak returning to the boat when the kayak capsized, taking John's life, and nearly taking Brandie's and Kitai's lives too.

Currently Brandie is stranded in Florida with Kitai, and she needs a way to return to the boat. She needs her life-saving medication, and Cici is still stranded on that boat. Brandie has lost the life of her husband, and now her life and their cat's life are at risk.

Aside from getting Brandie back to the boat for her medication and Cici, this will also go towards lodging until we can get her into a more stable situation, as well as end of life expenses for John. Anything and everything helps.
