My name is Hannah Labbe and for the last three summers, my husband Bobby and I have had the pleasure of living and working in Midcoast Maine with Etton Clayton. He splits his time between his home in Jamaica and here, continuing to return to Seadog to work the summer tourist months with us, sending his money home to his wife and children. They are newlyweds and were nearly finished building their new home together this summer. Today, the roof was ripped off his house with his wife and kids still inside. They fled to another family members house, whose roof also was ripped away, and before he lost contact with his wife this afternoon, they were fleeing through the storm again to his cousins brick house, desperately seeking safe shelter. Etton is a true friend in immediate need of our help. Bobby is taking him to the airport Thursday with hopes of finding the first available flight home. We are all waiting and watching this storm in horror. We’ve celebrated each others weddings, the highs and lows of busy restaurant life, and he’s shared the holidays he’s away from his family in Westmoreland, in Lewiston, Maine with ours. As soon as it is safe for him to fly home, he will return to his Parish in ruins. He has spent over $20,000 US dollars building his home, and it wasn’t even finished.

Please consider helping this amazing father and husband in anyway you can.

Today was the worst day of his life.

If anything, please pray for his family’s safety as the storm slowly moves on from them.

UPDATE: 10/29/2025

Etton is now the established account holder in this fund, so all donations made will go directly to him. His flight out of Portland, ME home to Jamaica is amazingly on schedule for Thursday! This is huge news, getting him safely home as fast as possible!

He has still not had contact with his family since yesterday, and is unsure if they are safe. Please send continued prayers for them and him as he travels home. ❤️
