Urgent Help for Emilio and Daniela Roman's Displacement

Dear Friends,

As many of you know, my wife, Daniela, and I have dedicated ourselves for over a decade to serving others—especially veterans, the homeless, and those in need. From delivering Thanksgiving dinners to our veterans on the streets to bringing homemade Christmas cards made by local children to veterans in hospitals and clinics across South Jersey and Philadelphia, we've always tried to give back with everything we have.

But this Christmas, we find ourselves in a heartbreaking situation that we never anticipated. Our apartment in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, has become uninhabitable due to a mystery odor that we've been reporting to management for months. Despite our efforts, the issue has only worsened in the past few weeks, leading both of us to end up in the hospital. While we’re grateful for the sofas we’re currently staying on, this isn’t the home we’ve worked hard to create, and it’s not the place we can stay long term.

We have no answers yet—whether it’s mold, toxic chemicals, or something else—but we may soon be forced to leave behind all of our belongings, which we’ve spent years building. As the holidays approach, many agencies that could offer assistance are overwhelmed, and we feel like we're at a loss for what to do next.

We don’t typically ask for help, but right now, we find ourselves in need of support more than ever. We would be so grateful for any amount of assistance you can provide, whether it's financial, resources, or just sending us your prayers.

We truly believe that once we get back on our feet, we will continue to pay it forward, just as we always have. Please know that your kindness and prayers mean the world to us during this difficult time.
