An elderly, disabled couple in the United States is facing an urgent crisis and is at immediate risk of eviction and homelessness. The wife is 66 and the husband is 73. They came to the U.S. seeking safety through the asylum process, hoping for stability in their later years. Instead, they were left without access to food assistance, medical coverage, or financial support.
They are currently renting a small one-bedroom inside a house, which is the only shelter they have. Both suffer from serious health conditions that prevent them from working. With no safety net, they were forced to pay out of pocket for rent, food, and essential medical care until their savings were completely depleted. Simply trying to survive has pushed them into nearly $8,000 in debt, and they are now facing eviction from this one-bedroom rental with nowhere to go.
The emotional and mental toll has been devastating. At their age and in their condition, the fear of losing even this modest space is overwhelming. No elderly, disabled couple should have to face homelessness while also worrying about how they will afford their next meal or necessary medication.
Your donation can make an immediate impact. With your help, we can stop their eviction, cover urgent rent, provide essential food, and ensure they receive the medical care they desperately need. Every contribution goes directly toward stabilizing their situation and protecting them from homelessness.
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps preserve their dignity and provides critical relief during this crisis. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Charity does not decrease wealth.” (Sahih Muslim)
Every dollar given in sincerity is never lost, it is multiplied in barakah and reward. May Allah place blessing in the wealth of those who give and make it a means of protection and mercy for this elderly couple.
