Help 9 Families Recover from the 285 Turk Fire—Urgent Support Needed Now
Following the devastating two-alarm fire at 285 Turk Street on May 13, 2026, nine San Francisco families have been displaced and are facing immediate needs.
This fund has been created to help residents with essential expenses: food, clothing, and basic household items needed for daily life. While the City and Red Cross has provided initial assistance, many residents need additional financial support as they begin to rebuild.
Every dollar raised goes directly to the 9 impacted households to provide:
- Essential household items and furniture
- Clothing and personal necessities
- Critical help replacing lost documents and identification
- Other urgent recovery needs identified by the families themselves
This fundraiser is organized by the San Francisco Community Land Trust to ensure all donations reach families quickly and equitably. We are committed to getting funds directly into residents' hands through this fund to ensure their immediate needs are met. SFCLT will distribute funds evenly among the impacted families when we reach our goal or by the end of May, whichever comes first.
If you’d also like to support SFCLT to help repair and rehabilitate the apartments so families can return home, please consider donating at: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/285turk-firerelief/
