Anyone who has had the chance to meet Diaa would describe him with these three words: positive, humorous, and helpful. A person with a heart truly in the right place.

A few years ago, Diaa fled the civil war in Syria and arrived in Greece. There, he had a serious bicycle accident and was in a coma for several weeks. He sustained a severe head injury, causing heavy bleeding in his brain. Despite undergoing surgery to remove the blood, he was left with permanent damage. These injuries led to epilepsy – seizures he cannot control, putting his life in danger every day.

However, the doctors in both Greece and later in Germany neglected and mistreated him. They didnt take his complaints seriously and simply gave him more and more medication, instead of addressing the root cause of his seizures.

His brain has changed due to the injury, and the doctors have been unable to stop the seizures. He suffers from severe headaches, sleep problems, and is often nervous and stressed due to the medication. He has been prescribed very high doses of medication, but the seizures keep coming back.

Now, he faces an even worse situation: He is being deported back to Greece, where he has no one to help him. Without proper medical treatment, he could soon have another life-threatening seizure.

What he urgently needs is the opportunity to find a good specialist in Greece who can help him. But for that, he needs money. Therefore, we aim to raise 9.000€ so that he can finally receive the treatment he desperately needs. Every euro helps to give him a chance at a better life!

Jeder, der Diaa kennenlernen durfte, würde ihn mit diesen drei Worten beschreiben: positiv, humorvoll, hilfsbereit. Ein Mensch, der das Herz am rechten Fleck hat.

Vor einigen Jahren ist Diaa aus dem Bürgerkrieg in Syrien nach Griechenland geflüchtet. Dort hatte er einen schweren Fahrradunfall, bei dem er mehrere Wochen im Koma lag. Er zog sich eine schwere Kopfverletzung zu, bei der sein Gehirn stark blutete. Trotz einer Operation, bei der das Blut entfernt wurde, blieb er mit bleibenden Schäden zurück. Diese Schäden führten zu Epilepsie – Anfällen, die er nicht kontrollieren kann und die sein Leben täglich gefährden.

Weder die Ärzte in Griechenland noch in Deutschland haben seine Beschwerden ernst genommen und daher medizinisch nicht entsprechend behandelt. Sie haben ihm nur immer mehr Medikamente gegeben, anstatt die wahre Ursache seiner Anfälle zu behandeln.

Sein Gehirn hat sich aufgrund der Verletzung verändert, und die Ärzte konnten ihm bisher nicht helfen, die Anfälle zu stoppen. Er hat starke Kopfschmerzen, Schlafprobleme und ist durch die Medikamente oft nervös und gestresst. Inzwischen hat er sehr hohe Dosen von Medikamenten bekommen, aber die Anfälle kommen trotzdem immer wieder.

Jetzt steht er vor einer noch schlimmeren Situation: Er wird zurück nach Griechenland abgeschoben, wo er niemanden hat, der ihm helfen kann. Ohne die richtige medizinische Behandlung könnte er bald einen weiteren, lebensgefährlichen Anfall haben.

Was er dringend braucht, ist die Möglichkeit, einen guten Spezialisten in Griechenland zu finden, der ihm helfen kann. Doch dafür braucht er Geld. كل من حظي بفرصة لقاء ضياء سيصفه بثلاث كلمات: إيجابي، فكاهي، ومُعين. إنسانٌ ذو قلبٍ طيب. ولهذا السبب تحديدًا لا يستحق ما حدث له: قبل بضع سنوات، فرّ ضياء من الحرب الأهلية في سوريا ووصل إلى اليونان. هناك، تعرّض لحادث دراجة خطير ودخل في غيبوبة لعدة أسابيع. أصيب بإصابة بالغة في الرأس، مما تسبب في نزيف حاد في دماغه. ورغم خضوعه لعملية جراحية لإزالة الدم، إلا أنه عانى من أضرار دائمة. أدت هذه الإصابات إلى إصابته بالصرع - نوبات لا يستطيع السيطرة عليها، مما يُعرّض حياته للخطر يوميًا مع ذلك، أهمله الأطباء في كل من اليونان ولاحقًا في ألمانيا، وأساءوا معاملته. في اليونان، لم تُعالج إصابته بالشكل الصحيح، وفي ألمانيا، لم يتلقَ الرعاية المناسبة أيضًا. إما أن الأطباء في كلا البلدين لم يأخذوا شكواه على محمل الجد، أو أنهم ببساطة وصفوا له المزيد والمزيد من الأدوية، بدلًا من معالجة السبب الجذري لنوبات الصرع. لقد تغيّر دماغه نتيجة الإصابة، ولم يتمكن الأطباء من إيقاف النوبات. يعاني من صداع شديد، واضطرابات في النوم، وغالبًا ما يكون متوترًا وقلقًا بسبب الأدوية. وُصفت له جرعات عالية جدًا من الأدوية، لكن النوبات تستمر في التكرار. والآن، يواجه وضعًا أسوأ: سيتم ترحيله إلى اليونان، حيث لا يجد من يساعده. بدون العلاج الطبي المناسب، قد يتعرض قريبًا لنوبة أخرى تهدد حياته ما يحتاجه بشدة هو فرصة للعثور على أخصائي كفء في اليونان ليساعده. لكن لتحقيق ذلك، يحتاج إلى المال. لذا، نهدف إلى جمع 9000 يورو ليتمكن أخيرًا من تلقي العلاج الذي يحتاجه بشدة. كل يورو يُساهم في منحه فرصة لحياة أفضل!
