Help my mom Dede Roberts Recover from a Stroke & Secure a Home for Her Kids
On June 19th (Juneteenth), our beloved mother, Dede Roberts, suffered a devastating hemorrhagic stroke that has left her with right-side impairment, Doctors say she will never fully recover, and the road ahead will be long and difficult.
To make matters worse, just before her stroke, she was already under immense stress—fighting an infection from her current home (where she’s lived for 10 years) and suddenly being told she must move by July 1st. With no car, no savings, and no insurance, she was desperately trying to figure out how to secure a safe place for her **children**—including three minors (two in high school and one in middle school)—when this stroke struck.
Now, our family is facing an impossible situation:
-Medical expenses from her stroke treatment and ongoing rehabilitation
- Urgent housing so her kids have a stable home while she recovers
- Basic necessities, as she can no longer work and has no income
Our mother has always been our rock—a fighter, a provider, and the heart of our family. But now, she needs your help to ensure her children aren’t left without a home and that she gets the care she needs to regain as much independence as possible.
We’re humbly asking for donations to:
- Cover *medical bills* (she had no insurance)
- Secure *safe housing* before the July 1st deadline
- Support her kids with food, transportation, and essentials
Every dollar brings us closer to stability during this heartbreaking time. If you can’t donate, *please share*—we need all the help we can get.
From the bottom of our hearts, *thank you* for being a light in our darkest moment.
