My name is Dan Clemments and I am asking for your help. I am raising funds because I need help with a legal matter I found myself involved in. I was arrested on charges of evading with a vehicle, unlawful carry (licensed to carry), and reckless driving.

Let me be clear about this. I was not running from the police, nor would I ever do so. I am a licensed carry holder, and while yes, I was speeding, I wasn't running. I have ridden my motorcycle all over and never had any tickets for anything on the bike ever. Had the officer given me a reckless, I would have taken it, handled it, and learned a valuable lesson. Now I am in the worst way possible. I am losing my house, I am losing my bike. I am financially unable to mount any sort of defense as I am alone. I simply was on a bike ride to try and clear my mind, and I made a mistake and accelerated too fast. The cop got behind me, and I never knew he was there. Didn't hear him, couldn't see him at all until a car made me change lanes, and I peeked to see if there was another car in the lane I was going.

I need help desperately to keep me from being tossed in jail, lose my job, which is all I have left. I need to raise roughly 10k for attorney fees and keep my ability to learn from this, recover, and not make the same mistake ever again.
