On August 2, 2025, my dad experienced a sudden and serious traumatic emergency. While burning wood in a fire pit, his clothes caught fire. My sister found him engulfed in flames and attempted to extinguish the fire. A neighbor jumped the fence and was able to put him out with a fire extinguisher. My dad was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley trauma bay where he was sedated and intubated. He has 3rd degree burns to 60% of his body (groin, stomach, chest, back, neck, head, face). He was life-flighted to Cedar Crest Burn Center in Allentown ICU. We are in a scary space right now waiting for answers and miracles. While my family and I remain strong and determined, the road to recovery is long, and the financial burden is growing. In addition to medical bills, my sister is facing everyday expenses, such as rent, utilities, and other basic needs. Unfortunately, without the ability to work because we need to be available to support and advocate for my dad, there will be a struggle to make ends meet. We are asking for any support you can offer — no donation is too small. Your generosity will go directly to covering medical expenses, treatment, and living costs, allowing my sister and our family to focus on my dad's health and well-being without the constant stress of financial strain. My sister has 4 kids to care for and right now we need our village. ANY AND ALL HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this with others who may be able to help. Your love, support, and positive thoughts mean the world to me and our entire family. Thank you for your kindness and compassion during this difficult time
