Hi, my name is Cristal. On Monday, July 15th, what I thought was my upstairs neighbor's water heater exploding was actually 25 gunshots going from one side of our complex to the other. When that happened, water started gushing like a broken fire hydrant and did not stop for a whole hour. We had horrible flooding and what we have on video tape was not even the worst of it. All of our things that were set on the floor are water damaged as well.

We will not be able to stay in our home any longer due to it being unlivable, and without power or water. Property management won’t help with assistance being temporarily housed in a motel at the very least until we are able to be moved for good. Because of this, I’m asking for help to fund me, my 8 month old, and my partner to be temporarily housed until we are able to get into a new place. With the cheapest motel near me, that would be probably $700-1000 for a week. If I were to pass this goal, I would use all funds to go towards my next move which I hope to be immediate with how unsafe I feel.

First of all I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart with how much you guys have raised and helped me with. After being advised by family, and just coming to the realization that I’m in such an unsafe environment and all the properties of choice through my management are also unsafe, I am going to raise my goal to 3000 so I can get into a different apartment and to cover costs of any amount of rent they need and deposits. This will also cover any moving expenses as well.
