My name is Brian Smith. I am starting this fund for my best friend, Chris Hope, also known as "Beaver" on the CB radio. On Thursday, 2/13/25, at around 12:30 am CST, Chris suffered a massive stroke. This came out of nowhere. He was awake on Friday the 14th, but after complications with his blood pressure and other issues, they had to induce a coma. On Thursday, 2/20/25, they discontinued the sedation medicine.

He has still not woken up.

As of today, Saturday, 2/23/25, he now has COVID and pneumonia. The doctors said he has had several more small ischemic strokes this week according to the MRI. Unfortunately, at the time this happened, he didn't have any medical insurance at all. The family is applying for aid. However, Chris was the main source of income for the family, and there are going to be so many expenses that they need our help! I have never done a GoFundMe for anyone before, but this is a must. Our friend needs our help; he needs our prayers!
