Urgent Help for Casen's Medical Journey
Donation protected
Dad Austin, mom Britney, and baby Casen are needing prayers and a little extra help at this time. 11 month old Casen has been struggling with respiratory problems for the last 7 months of his short life. After many trips to the urgent care, doctors, and the ER receiving unsatisfactory explanations, they made the trip to OU Children’s hospital. Casen was instantly put on oxygen, given IV fluids, antibiotics, and admitted to ICU. Young Casen had a CT scan that would reveal the answers to the problems he has struggled with for 7 months. The family was thrown into a state of fear and anxiety, but also hope that the DR’s would be able to help Casen. Casen was diagnosed with Inanimate artery compression. The artery is going across the trachea or windpipe, causing his windpipe to be flattened, making it difficult to breathe. They also discovered a mass in his esophagus, which has been making it difficult for him to eat and drink fluids. Because of both problems, he has been getting food and fluid into his lungs, causing pneumonia. A feeding tube has been placed in order to bypass his throat and give him much needed nutrition. If this was not enough, they discovered he has an enlarged Aorta as well. Mom is currently a student and dad has lost his job while being in the hospital helping care for the family including older daughter Ivory. Ivory loves her little brother very much and is hoping he gets well soon. This go fund me account will help Austin, Britney, Ivory, and Casen get through this difficult period of their lives. Any help and/or prayers is appreciated. Thank you to OU Children’s hospital for all they do. God Bless.
