Carl was air-ambulanced back to the UK yesterday after a nightmare of a situation with the hospital, doctors and finally trying to book an airambulance with a company who simply scammed them and took their money.

He is incredibly weak and lost a tremendous amount of weight and most certainly not out of the woods yet until we have more information from the doctors in the UK.

Carl's mum was allowed to fly with him in the air ambulance whilst his father had to book a separate flight and meet them there.

In addition to the £26,000 they paid for the initial air ambulance that didn't materialise, the had to fork out £46,000 for the air ambulance that flew carl and his mother back. His hospital bills were heavily discounted to £7,000 after a long discussion with the hospital and several trips to the visa office in order to get him a residence visa.

We are still waiting for news about Carl from his parents and I will update the information here as soon as we have news.

Carl was admitted to hospital in Hurghada a week ago in severe pain with a burst Appendix.

After major surgery due to infection around his organs Carl has now developed Septecimia and is in a life threatening situation.

His hospital bills have now amounted to more than €35,000 without the cost of the most likely needed Air Ambulance back to the UK which will cost more than £20,000.
