My name is Julie. I am the daughter of Bette Bylund Elia and sister to Jeffrey Bylund, who have resided at 22 Brayman Street her entire life of 81 years, raising her family and continuing to care for her mentally challenged son, Jeffrey, who also volunteers for our town of Auburn in many different capacities. Unfortunately, our local Department of Board of Health has demanded Bette and Jeffrey to be displaced out of their home as of May of 2025 due to extreme black mold manifesting.
My mother and our family have exhausted all monies and resources to rebuild her home as the bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom have been gutted down to the studs.
The contractor that was rebuilding these three rooms is away with no contact information and left this puzzle (most of the materials are on site).
My mother owned and operated many businesses in our community, such as Kings Spa (Penny Candy), The Trader Package Store, and The Trader Video & Convenience Store, where she helped so many families by giving them necessities for their homes, their children, and even their pets out of her own money she earned from such.
It is with much gratitude and appreciation if anyone can find it in their heart to donate or volunteer to help get Bette back in her home before the cold winter months.
