Urgent Help for Bertha Marshall's New Start

My name is Bertha N. Marshall. I am 77 years old.
Unfortunately, I suffer from Congestive Heart Failure. Since 2014, I have had Open Heart Surgery. I suffer from AFib and shortness of breath, which have led to 4 Cardio Ablations and 3 Cardioversions. I now have a Pacemaker implanted because of an apartment that I rented in a senior citizen building. When filling out the lease, I informed management that I have heart disease.

They rented me an apartment on the second floor of their building without notifying me of a huge generator underneath the window of the apartment they rented me. Less than 3 months in the apartment (I moved in April 2023), I became very ill. On June 8th, 2023, my cardiologist informed me I had fluid on my lungs. My health grew worse, which led to me being admitted to the hospital on July 1st, 2023. I was discharged on the 4th of July, then admitted again on July 26th of the same year. On July 28th, my cardiologist informed me there was nothing else they could do for me other than a Pacemaker, which was implanted on August 1st, 2023. I contacted the owners of the tax-credited building to relocate me outside of the building. They refused and offered me an apartment in the same building, which was not senior-friendly. I had no choice but to accept. I had just moved into the building and had spent a substantial amount of money to move in and furnish the apartment.

I contacted every agency/department here in LA, California, from the DA, the Mayor's Office, Health Department, Building & Safety, etc., with no success. Even though my rent was paid up, they evicted me on June 4th, 2025. I was informed that it was a retaliation eviction.

As of August 24, I am 77 years old with no place to go. My health is not the best, and I am in the hospital at least 3 times a year. The last stay was July 2025 for 3 weeks. There are times when I stay in a shelter or on a friend's couch. It's a challenge because I now have a heart monitor that notifies my cardiologist and the technicians if they need to contact me. They are able to monitor my heart from afar. I would be grateful for any assistance in raising funds to rent a new apartment, purchase food, and pay monthly bills until I am able.

Thank you in advance for any blessings.
