Urgent Help for Baby's Medical Crisis

As many of you already know, my family is navigating an unimaginable crisis. Our precious son, Evren, was born prematurely on August 14, 2024. From the start, he faced numerous challenges—struggling with feeding, difficulty gaining weight, excessive sweating, and shortness of breath. As a mother, I immediately knew something wasn’t right, but time and time again, my concerns were dismissed by doctors and specialists.
It wasn’t until two months later that Evren's condition worsened drastically. We were finally referred to an ENT specialist who identified an issue with his voice box and scheduled surgery to address it. We were initially told the surgery was a success, and for a brief moment, we allowed ourselves to hope. But just hours later, my instincts as a mother told me something was still wrong. Evren’s condition rapidly declined, and after pushing for additional testing, the heartbreaking truth emerged: our son was in heart failure.
In a desperate bid to save his life, Evren coded twice and was immediately airlifted to Salt Lake City Children’s Hospital for urgent care. There, he underwent three major surgeries in just one week—surgeries that were critical to his survival.
Watching my baby fight for his life in the hospital, with all the tubes, machines, and monitors surrounding him, has been beyond anything I could have ever imagined. As a mother, it’s incredibly painful to watch your child struggle in such a way, especially when he’s so young and fragile. And being so far away from home, separated from my 3-year-old, and unable to work while trying to care for Evren has created a situation that is physically, emotionally, and financially draining.
Evren's recovery is still uncertain, and though we’re doing everything we can to remain strong, the weight of this situation is overwhelming. The emotional toll is immense, and the financial burden has become a major source of stress, as we are facing mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and the need to stay near Evren while he continues his treatment.
In this incredibly difficult time, we’re humbly asking for your support. Whether that means making a financial contribution, sharing our story with others, or keeping Evren in your thoughts and prayers, any help—no matter how big or small—will provide us with a bit of relief and help us continue to focus on Evren’s recovery.
We are staying hopeful and positive, and we believe in the power of community and prayer to help us through this unimaginable journey. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being here with us and offering your love and support during this life-altering moment. We truly couldn’t get through this without you.
