Urgent Help for Ashraf, Doaa, and Children

Hello, I’m Kayla Dennany from the United States. I’m creating this campaign to help and support my dear friends Ashraf and Doaa and their family. Ashraf Shaaban and his wife Doaa are the loving and patient parents to seven beautiful children. Their names are Obaida, Omar, Mohamed, Shaaban, Osama, Siraj, and Youssef.

Their youngest child, Youssef, was born in the second month of the war in Gaza, after their home was already destroyed. He and his family have been living in displacement in Deir al-Balah, under the constant threat of bombing and starvation, since October 2023. Ashraf and Doaa have spent countless sleepless nights comforting their children amidst the sound of warplanes and explosions. They are tired, on a soul level, of seeing their children suffer this way.

"Imagine that you are forced to flee en masse under random and heavy artillery and air bombardment three times in just a few months!!! (Have you imagined)!!? Complete your journey of imagining that your steps stumble every time, as you walk over the rubble of a bombed house or the body of a martyr whose dignity has been squandered. Imagine hearing the groan of a wounded person calling to you, and you cannot answer it, as you are fleeing from a place and surrounded by death on all sides. You are traveling to another place where death might be waiting for you.

If you can't imagine the routine of forced displacement of the Gazan in the current war of extermination, then know that:

It is not just a move from one dangerous place to another that is supposed to be safe, but rather it is a drain on the energy and being of the human being and the balance of hope for a decent life..

It is a journey of confusion in which the Gazan wanders aiming for security and safety..

I appeal to you to help us and save us from the war of genocide and famine. Gaza has no water, no food, and no treatment. The situation is catastrophic. A little of your money could make a difference and save my children from the war of genocide and famine. I hope that the war will end and that we will live as the rest of the world lives, in security and stability."

The prices for food and basic necessities have risen to an extreme price since 2024. This family consists of seven children who need food, diapers, milk, toys, and clothing.

Materials for proper shelter are scarce, so the nylon and cloth tent in which the family stays has endured damage over the course of more than sixteen months. When it rains, their tent becomes flooded and very difficult to live in. Memories of their warm, safe home make it even more difficult to withstand life in the tent.
