Help April Start Over After Devastating House Fire

On July 20th, a tragic fire turned April’s world upside down. A stove fire spread quickly through her home, and in moments, everything was lost. What the flames didn’t destroy, the smoke and water did. Nothing was salvageable. Thankfully, April and her two beautiful children her daughter Valerie (10) and her son Eli (9) made it out safely.

But now, April is starting from scratch.

She is a single mom of two, April is one of the most hardworking and selfless people you could ever meet. She co-owns Marie’s Place Barber & Beauty Salon and also works as a server at Roosters just to make ends meet. Despite juggling multiple jobs, she’s always the first to offer help to others in need.

Today, she’s the one who needs help.

April and her children are currently staying in a hotel, but that assistance ends at the end of this week. She is in urgent need of funds to secure a new place to live that including rent, deposit, and basic household essentials, as well as food, clothing, and everyday necessities for her family.

In an effort to receive help directly, April shared her Cash App, but sadly, scammers have already created fake profiles trying to steal the donations meant for her. That’s why this GoFundMe has been created — to make sure every donation goes straight to April and her children.
